Britain's favourite game isn't GTA, you may be surprised to learn.

It's actually Candy Crush. The popularity of crazy-addictive puzzle game among women and older people makes it Britain's favourite video game - Grand Theft Auto is a close second.

Candy Crush, the matching puzzle involving a grid of shiny sweets, was the highest grossing app on iPad and iPhone in 2013, its maker was valued at £4.2billion in 2014.

In a recent poll looking to find Britain's most popular video games, Candy Crush actually finished 1st. The poll has all the games you'd expect on the list including Call of Duty, Mario Kart, Football Manager and Sonic.

Score combines the % of past or present gamers. And the study asked more than 3,300 people of mixed gender what they thought the greatest game of all time.

Apparently, Candy Crush was the winner among female players.
