And I'm happy to see someone who rates the manga on their opinion, instead of rating it based on whether they are able to read the comic or not, or the time the translater takes to upload, and that you actually explained why you didn't like it, instead of just saying "bad comic" or something along those lines.

I know your comment is quite old but:

I think that the story going slowly is actually a good thing, because other authors tend to rush the relationship (an actual *love* relationship) between the characters too much , which seems quite unrealistic to me, although some of them can be like that in real life. 

About the tragic backstory, in my opinion it was necessary, because there needed to be a reason for his hate against ugly people, if the event wouldn't have been that tragic then such strong feelings wouldn't make that much sense. And people are not just evil, they usually have "reasons" for what they do.


I didn't really get the rest of your problems with the comic, sorry.
