Video previews modern version of classic Mazinger Z theme song The official website for the upcoming Mazinger Z anime film announced the film's title, Gekijōban Mazinger Z / Infinity (Movie Version Mazinger Z / Infinity), on Thursday. The website also began streaming a trailer, which previews Ichiro Mizuki's new version of his Mazinger Z theme song. The film will open in Japan on January 13, 2018. Manga is spinoff of upcoming anime film This year's 10th issue of Kodansha's Monthly Young Magazine announced last Wednesday that the Mazinger Z Interval Peace spinoff manga will end in the next issue on October 20. Takahiro Ozawa (Tokyo Toybox, Giga Tokyo Toy Box) is in charge of the manga's scenario, Kaoru Osada (Gunparade March Another Princess) is drawing the manga, and Go Nagai is credited with the original work. The manga launched in May on the same day as another spinoff manga, Mazinger Z Alter Ignition, which is still running on Dynamic Planning's website. Mazinger Z Interval Peace is a spinoff work of the new anime film based on Nagai's Mazinger Z manga. The manga is the "first youthful group drama" manga in the franchise, and it takes place in a world where the very existence of super robots is questioned.
